High School

We seek to challenge our students academically, but more importantly we seek to challenge them spiritually. Each student participates in a Bible class every day, and we combine grades seven through twelve each Tuesday for a chapel time. In chapel, students hear the Word of God preached and are encouraged to make spiritual decisions and commitments. Beyond this, every subject is taught in the light of God's Word with His Word being the final authority in all matters.

Every year our high school students as a whole surpass the nation's averages in academic achievement. This, we believe, is due to qualified teachers teaching from exceptional textbooks in an orderly environment. Our program is geared toward the average student. As a general rule, however, we will have the average student performing better on standardized tests than his counterparts in another system.

To meet the varied academic needs of our students, CCA offers three distinct programs of study. Admittance to a particular program is determined by student ability, the career direction of the student, and parental input. Each program meets the requirements for graduation in the state of North Carolina. The three programs are as follows:

Technical College Program
College Preparatory Program
Scholars Program

Program assignments are coordinated through our Guidance Office. Specific course requirements for each program of study are available upon request.
