About CCa

CCA began in the fall of 1977 under the leadership of Pastor Bob King,as a ministry of Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church. Fifty seven students were enrolled in kindergarten through third grade that first year. In the years that followed, additional grades were added and, in 1984, the school graduated the first senior class.

The school is housed on a forty-acre campus with day care facilities, an administration building, an art studio, a Children’s Indoor Play Gym, classroom buildings, music facilities, and the Roy Rikard Activities Building (a combination classroom, gym, and cafeteria facility).

The school family enjoys a web-based communication network which allows for communication throughout the campus, as well as parental access to grades, homework assignments, and e-mail.

The completion of an outdoor athletic complex in 2007 provides the ministry with soccer, softball, and baseball fields that are used by all ages.

The school’s primary curriculums are BJ Press and A Beka Book. In addition to the standard core classes, CCA elementary offers enrichment classes in Spanish, Music, Library, Computers, Physical Education, and Art. CCA High school students complete graduation requirements as prescribed by the state of North Carolina. Since 2007, students have also been able to participate in a Scholar’s Track of advanced classes. CCA participates in the Stanford 10 Achievement testing, and historically ranks well above the national averages in all categories.

The qualified teaching staff at CCA includes 15 teachers who have 20 or more years experience. The school is very proud to have seven CCA graduates currently teaching on the faculty. This is a real testimony of the relationship that the teachers build with their students.

Fine Arts is an important component of a student’s educational experience while at CCA. Students are afforded the opportunity to take private band, voice, and piano lessons. Elementary grades participate in the NCCSA Fine Arts Western Division and have been the overall winner for four years in a row. Junior high students are involved in an on-campus fine arts competition that prepares them to participate in the SACS Fine Arts Festival – a competition for high school students. These competitions have become one of the highlights of the school year.

Students attending CCA enjoy competitive athletics in soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, and golf. The Crusaders have a long history of being at the top of their district and regional associations. The teamwork and sportsmanship these students learn help prepare them for many types of leadership.

Today, in our thirty third year of ministry, our preschool and academy have an enrollment which exceeds four-hundred and fifty students and a staff of over fifty. From those beginning days, our school has embraced a commitment to provide a quality education to families who desire a Bible-based education for their children.

Throughout the years, hundreds of students from Gaston County and surrounding neighborhoods have benefited from the academic and spiritual emphasis presented here. The school continues to create confidence in parents who look to CCA to help them fulfill their God given responsibility to train up their children in the way they should go.
